What Good is The Illumination Intensive for a Baby Boomer?
The other week - recently - I attended an intensive 4 1/2 day workshop called the Illumination Intensive.
The title might indicate some glib, new age moniker for a late model version of EST training.
But it isn’t. This is the real thing.
First things first…
I’d publicly like to thank deeply and sincerely my brother from another mother - Shane Michaloski - for thinking about me and making it possible for me to attend.
It’s been a couple of years since my last intensive and it was so refreshing and good to get behind the ‘wheel of my heart again’ and plug in. It reminded me how important this work is to me and how much I have missed it.
I’ve been to a lot of workshops over the years and spent a couple of intense years within the Peak Potentials environment - loving the work as a member of Core team and loving the workshops as an attendee. Peak got me on track to change my life and the relationships created there will be with me the rest of my life.
But Satyen Raja and Steve Garrett of Warrior Sage have added something else to the mix. It’s a kind of cosmic think-tank where participants (pro-actively and consciously) become mirrors for each other’s souls - reflecting one another in such a way as to make it difficult to determine where one begins and the other leaves off.
They turn the parameters of normal living on their heads and create an environment that is completely safe. This is augmented by the fact that the vast majority of distractions and day to day influences are muted and removed during the event. Not unlike the concept of a business incubator for nurturing and launching small business, the Illumination Intensive is kind of a spiritual incubator.
It felt like old home week for me
Side bar: I said so at one of the meals and one of the younger participants asked me, “What does old home week mean?” Just goes to show you are becoming dated when younger people have no idea what the language you use - common place to your own experience - means. Made me smile inside…
and it was totally comfortable, exciting and fun. Others found it tiresome and many found themselves fatigued from the intensity and duration of the focus and ‘the work’. I found it refreshing and renewing in a way that I had missed unknowingly for some time - as a veteran of the “spiritual boot camps” of the past.
I have attended quite a few workshops over the years.
While not disclosing the actual practices presented in this one, I have to tell you that this is a great course. The staff and the leadership is singular and superlative. There is authenticity, enthusiasm and joy in the presentation and the care and nurturing of participants. Lots of people talk about universal love and give lip service to transformation and growth, but these guys are doing it.
I was on staff for 26 events on Peak Potentials Core Team and participated directly in numerous processes designed to empower, offer breakthroughs and releases - spiritual, emotional and otherwise for the participants. The most rewarding aspect as staff is to “hold the room” effectively so that the processes can be most effective.
I personally have never seen a better executed intensive than the Illumination Intensive in Fallbrook, CA in October. These people did a magnificent job and were selfless, dedicated and focused.
Stephen Garrett was an exceptional facilitator as were his two assistants. Allow me to acknowledge, the powerhouse people, excellent leadership and quality execution.
The Illumination Intensive Is Good for Boomers
The Illumination Intensive is good for a Baby Boomer because it reminds us to remember and think about what’s important, what really matters in life and not to take anything for granted. It reminds us to contemplate what the true nature of our purpose in life is and to drop the facades we have created that no longer serve us - and never really did.
Many Baby Boomers are really taking a hard look at their lives to get a new focus and clarity of purpose as we embark on the 2nd fifty years. If you’re ready for a challenge and an some internal cleansing, you’ll probably love this workshop.
I loved it and didn’t want to leave. The message I got from the work is to STOP PLAYING SMALL AND STEP BACK INTO MY PERSONAL POWER - ONCE AND FOR ALL.
If you have not taken the Illumination Intensive, do so. And when they ask you where you heard about it. Tell them I sent you.
You will not regret this, that’s a personal promise.
