<p>Have we forgotten compassion? Have we forgotten simple kindness? Every Baby Boomer wants to live a life without lack, one of abundance and comfort &#8211; enjoying the love of family and friends. How much do we care and what are we doing about it?</p>

<h2>Change For A Dollar tells the story of &#8220;the forgotten man&#8221;.</h2>
<p>It reminds me of another video about <strong><em>the forgotten man</em></strong> that we watch on a regular basis. It&#8217;s a movie with William Powell made in 1937 during the tail end of the Great Depression called &#8220;<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0028010/" target="_blank">My Man Godfrey</a></strong></span>&#8220;. While classified as a comedy, it really is a story of compassion and helping people stand on their own two feet.</p>
<p>Sometimes it seems that we Baby Boomers have lost touch with who we really are. We have forgotten &#8211; amid the busy-<strong><em>ness</em></strong> of life &#8211; to remember gratitude, and loving kindness to the others around us as we scurry around in our lives. This week I watched a video clip at <a href="http://www.awesomenessfest.com/about/" target="_blank">Awesomenessfest.com</a> where the speaker said:</p>
<blockquote><p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong>&#8220;I have learned that we are loveable because we are human beings <em>not</em> human doings.&#8221;</strong></span></p></blockquote>
<p>We have learned &#8211; too often &#8211; to take things for granted, or the value of family, or gratitude for what we do have.</p>
<p>Seeing a video like this reminds me how important it is to be grateful and compassionate about how many people face difficulties today that did not exist 20 years ago. And yet it is virtually the same struggle that has been going on for centuries. Change for a Dollar is about a helping hand, a smile, and &#8220;hand-up&#8221; when we need it &#8211; and mostly seeing people, really seeing them. It is about the loneliness of being invisible.</p>
<p>Being the catalyst that triggers expansion is the type of change we need, not just change for the sake of it. Effective change requires purpose and compassion and gratitude and vision. We can lose the material stuff, we can lose our direction &#8211;  fall off our path and make bad decisions along the way &#8211; without losing our integrity.</p>
<p>Do we throw in the towel or ask our self what can I do about this?</p>
<p>It touches my heart to watch this video and reminds how many times I forget to remember who I AM and what I am grateful for.</p>
<p><strong>Little things do make a difference.</strong></p>
<p>Without compassion, without gratitude and without kindness, what does abundance mean? This is the character part of the wealthy boomer &#8211; and what is wealth without character?  It&#8217;s like living in an empty shell &#8211;  living an empty life.</p>
<p>This video reminds me what it is about helping people that truly brings me joy and that this is the work I love. It shines the light of hope on humanity.</p>
<p>Ask yourself, &#8220;What type of change can I make for a dollar?&#8221; If you like this video &#8211; you can donate a dollar at the end. I did.</p>

<p><strong>Saturday, September 24th was Abundance Day in our house and it was fun.</strong></p>
<p>We started the day with gratitude for all the things that are going right, the opportunities that keep coming our way, our health and recognizing the emerging abundance in our lives.</p>
<p>It was a spontaneous process that began in the morning starting with the daily email from Abraham-Hicks. The first part of the message was talking about releasing resistance, followed by this quote:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Most people do not expect their path to great abundance to be one of ease and of joy. They have been taught that struggle and hardship and sacrifice are requirements that must be met before the reward of great abundance can be realized.</p>
<p>Most do not understand that the very struggle they deliberately involve themselves in, in their quest for success and advantage, actually works against them.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Next we read a section in one of our favorite books reminding us to let our higher mind be the guide in our lives instead of our &#8216;little&#8217; mind that gets in the way.</p>

<h2><strong>The Financial Lid</strong></h2>
<p>As we drove to replenish the coffee supply, we listened to an audio cd of a friend of ours who was talking about raising our financial &#8216;lid&#8217;. Our friend is David Wood who we met in 2005 while on staff for Peak Potentials. David was the head trainer at the time and as we worked a number of events with him grew to be friends.</p>
<p>In his description of a financial lid, David says to draw a box on a piece of paper and write the number down inside the box that describes your monthly income. Then he says to draw another box around the first one and write the same number in the outside box and then add a zero on the end.</p>

<p>For example, look at the image on the right. If your monthly income is 3500, put that number in the inner box. Next draw a second box around the first and put 35000 in the outer box. He said whatever we are making <strong>now</strong> is our financial lid and we need to expand our lid if we want to increase our income. If our lid is $1M a year, add a zero and make it $10 M a year in the outer box.</p>
<p>He reminded us that we have to expand our belief in our willingness <strong>both</strong> to be worthy <strong>and </strong>to accept the increased amount before we will receive it.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s an inspiring cd that has more meaning to us since David is a personal friend.</p>
<h2><strong>Removing Abundance Glitches</strong></h2>
<p>Next, we followed the &#8220;lid&#8221; exercise instructions on David&#8217;s cd and combined this with our knowledge as <a title="core health facilitator" href="http://corehealthfacilitator.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">Core Health Facilitators</a> <strong>both</strong> to identify <strong>and</strong> remove any energy glitches around our &#8220;lid&#8221; using the DTQ process in comprehensive kinesiology.</p>
<p>Later that night, we went through the energy clearing process we use in our workshops to clean up any remaining distortions or resistance in our system and we could actually feel the difference.</p>
<h2><strong>The Cash Flow Board Game</strong></h2>
<p>Starting in the afternoon, we had a blast playing 3 full games of Cash Flow (the game developed by Robert and Kim Kiyosaki) with a dinner break in between the 2nd and 3rd games.</p>
<p>What a great day this turned out to be. What a stimulating and joyful experience. It provided an internal sense that we have finally cracked the internal abundance code and man does it feel good. It is part of our financial intelligence and wealthy boomer training.</p>
<p>Abundance day was inspiring.</p>
<p>What is more fundamental to wealth than being willing to receive our own abundance. We have decided to make one day a week Abundance Day.</p>

<p>As a Boomer in the Sarasota, Florida area, you owe it to yourself to re-activate your vitality, initiate an anti-aging campaign and find some peace of mind.  In my experience, there is no single exercise set as beneficial to the human body as a combination of Qigong and martial arts training.</p>
<p>This is for a multitude of reasons including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Qigong renews the body on so many levels &#8211; improved circulation, increases in Qi circulation, natural strength and diminished levels of stress</li>
<li>The type of strength that is developed over time is what I call a comprehensive strength &#8211; using the whole body in unison, not muscle mass without integration</li>
<li>All aspects of the body are activated, rejuvenated and coordinated into maximum performance without requiring maximum output</li>
</ul>
<p>You can do this by joining our group. It&#8217;ll take some time and practice, but it works every time for everybody who is diligent and receives competent instruction.</p>
<p>Mr. T.C Lee  of Honolulu was my Wu Style TaiChi teacher in 1973/74. He used to tell me:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;Doing TaiChi everyday is like putting pennies in a piggy bank.  It doesn&#8217;t seem like much, but in 40 or 50 years, you have a lot of money.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Being  a Healthy Boomer requires a long range attitude and long range execution. A little bit every day makes for amazing health, stability and balance.</p>
<p>I speak from experience.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re in the area, stop by check out the Qigong Sarasota group on Siesta and start packing away <strong><em>your pennies</em></strong> for 20-30 years from now. If you&#8217;re in a different area, find a Qigong group and try it out. You can learn Qigong at any age. Once you learn this stuff, it&#8217;s yours. You own it for the rest of your life. The beauty is that you can practice wherever you are:</p>
<ul>
<li>in  a hotel room while you are traveling</li>
<li>in a park</li>
<li>on the beach</li>
<li>in your own backyard or living room</li>
<li>at your mother in law&#8217;s house</li>
<li>anywhere&#8230;</li>
</ul>
<p>Being a wealthy boomer makes no sense at all without optimum health to go with it. How can you enjoy life from a wheelchair, an assisted living facility or a hospital bed?</p>
<p>I can&#8217;t. Not my thing and never will be.</p>

<p><span style="line-height: 27px;">There is potential for many people to benefit as a result of this revolutionary and powerful technology.</span></p>
<p>Many of the attendees are current workshop participants (or graduates) of our Heart Forgiveness, Core Health and Funny with Money workshops.  They already knew who GM David is because we speak about him often in our workshops.</p>
<p>There is a definite connection between Core Health and GM David. He is a member of the Energy Essentials Applications Research team that played a key role in peer review and in an advisory capacity during the development of Core Health. We were introduced to him by Dr Ed Carlson, the founder of Core Health.</p>

<p><strong>My Personal Experience With Grand Master David&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>In my personal case, GM David helped me with an energy issue that Dr Ed and I were unable to clear using Core Health, alone. In addition, on a physical level he helped me modify the bone alignment of my left wrist that I broke severely in 2003, reset a partially separated clavicle that had been out since 2006 and reset my left knee (that has been injured multiple times since 1971) to complete natural health.</p>
<p>This man gives 100% of himself to help others and humanity.</p>

<p>When it comes to energy, I have studied with two Qigong masters in the past, both exceptionally skilled, each in their own way. In my personal experience, GM David&#8217;s energy and power is both amazing and unparalleled.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><h2>Imagine this: Seventy seven million baby boomers make a pact to take back their happy healthy image and birthright, and ALL become healthy and wealthy within the next year or two!</h2>
<p>Seriously, look at this now! Boomers are a gigantic brain trust of information, experience, and know how. They have been down &#8211; raised by &#8220;depression age&#8221; parents and grandparents. They have been up &#8211; lived through some of the very best of economic times, great freakin&#8217; rock music, comparative castles for homes, waged war on everything from terrorism to drugs to cancer, and are still better at most jobs than their children and grandchildren will ever be.</p>
<p>Boomers are world travelers, can do most anything you can come up with; they are gym rats, social media marketers, and can learn a language in 90 days.</p>
<p>Baby Boomers went back to school online and became honors students with Masters after age 50 or 60!  They have lost all their money once or twice and made it back on the next entrepreneurial venture or two without passing out in the sweat &#8211; even if they did lose a house or two in foreclosure. They are experts at picking themselves up, dusting themselves off and getting right back in the game.</p>
<p>Boomers have survived layoffs, divorce, child support, custody cases, 9/11, and a few lyin&#8217;-cheatin&#8217; presidents, and they&#8217;re not dead yet! They changed jobs like sweaty gym shorts, made it through the dot.com boom and bust while changing hats as frequently as needed. Boomers have tried every religion on the planet from Tibet to Rome to Utah. They are as self- developed and natural health-ed as anyone will ever be. They have been medicated and meditated.</p>
<h2><strong>Baby  Boomers &#8211; WE &#8211; survived it all. What else is there?  Really? </strong></h2>
<p>What if:</p>
<blockquote><p>Boomers decided to act on all that knowledge and stop buying into  the massive programming about prescriptions, high blood pressure, weight loss programs, motorized scooters, guilt about the end of the world, and spending the grand kids inheritance!</p></blockquote>
<p>What if they said</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;NO MORE!&#8221; to terrorists, politically correct speech, being robbed by drug using grandchildren, illegal aliens, and handing out money they busted their asses to make, and bailouts paid for with our tax dollars? What if they quit banks and bought gold?</p></blockquote>
<p>What if they said &#8220;N-O!&#8221; to the media mind set about the boomer health image promoted and paid for by the drug companies and instead decided to prove them all wrong? What if: Boomers decided to walk every day, eat whatever makes them feel REALLY good, work as long as they want to, and said &#8220;to hell with social security just give me back everything I invested!&#8221;</p>
<h2>It can be done, you know! It can. We can.</h2>
<h2>There is a SEVENTY SEVEN MILLION strong mindset that says we can do anything we put our minds to if we want to.  Who wants to join me? I am game if you are!</h2>
<p><strong><br />
Start here: Do what you can do. Make your list and check it twice. </strong></p>
<blockquote><p>1. New mental image.<br />
2. Walk daily morning.<br />
3. Filtered water every hour.<br />
4. No more red meat.<br />
5. Lots of fresh veggies and fruits.<br />
6. Daily protein powder drinks.<br />
7. Daily gym-you got to move to improve.Do something to first strengthen your upper body-arms-back. Start light then build.<br />
8.Meditate daily. Just clear your head of all the chatter for 15 minutes so you can tell when its actually you thinking and not another instant replay.<br />
9. Acknowledge God&#8217;s life in you many times daily. Feel &#8220;the Light that never fails&#8221; no matter what name you call that Light.<br />
10. Be gratitude-filled daily.<br />
11. Reduce medications gradually as you feel better.<br />
12. Stop making excuses.<br />
13. Stop thinking  of yourself as an old fart.<br />
14. Stop acting like an old fart.<br />
15. Go on vacation as often as you can.<br />

17.Start treating yourself like today is the first day of your future.<br />
18.Fall in love with first with yourself and then with your spouse again.<br />
19.Walk daily evenings after dinner. (beach, park, school)<br />

21.Be positive.Think positive. Act positive. Speak positive.<br />
22. Focus only on what you can do. Forget what you cannot do. You&#8217;ll get there or you won&#8217;t.<br />
23. Buy a mini trampoline and use it. (they come with handrails if needed).<br />
24. Learn to increase your oxygen via all the above methods.<br />
25. Mean it!<br />
26. If you live near the ocean go sit in the water as often as you can. Take your chair and get 20 minutes of sun too.<br />
27. Get 20 minutes of sun daily anyway. (you need the vitamin D)<br />
29. Write about your life and find the passion, the experience, the purpose. If you don&#8217;t want to write, record it.<br />
30.Make an endless list of all the things you still want to do and start doing them.<br />
31. Do something you have always wanted to do and do NOT be afraid and if you are, feel the fear and do it anyway!<br />
32. Get your teeth fixed, have your eyes done, whatever; just do something that makes you feel good that maybe no one else thinks you should &#8220;waste your money (their inheritance) on!&#8221;<br />
33. Buy that boat, collectible car, beach house or whatever it is you used to promise yourself you&#8217;d have one day and celebrate your new beginning!</p>
<p>34. Garden. Sing. Dance. Ride a bike.</p>
<p>35. Find a Core Health Workshop and get your &#8220;will to live&#8221; back up to 100% asap.</p>
<p>36.Find a Heart Forgiveness Workshop and forgive yourself then everybody else -  from your heart not your head. Take back your life!</p></blockquote>
<p><strong>Most Important-Find a friend and support each other.</strong></p>
<p>Start a Meetup group and make your lists. Make a plan and see it through. Live like each day has meaning the way one does when one is looking toward the FUTURE not at the PAST. Face forward and walk toward the sun!</p>

<p><strong>Have you been thinking about lifestyle changes that will get you physically healthy again? Are you one of the 1 percenters ready to shift?</strong></p>
<p>Lots of Baby Boomers are thinking about it. If you&#8217;re really ready, quit thinking and start doing.</p>
<p>We are looking for the 1<strong>% of all Baby Boomers on the tipping point</strong> &#8211; ready to tip over into a new, robust healthy lifestyle. Ready to let go of belief systems that don&#8217;t work any more and do not serve us mentally, emotionally or physically &#8211; and probably never have.</p>
<p>Why are we looking for you? Because if you&#8217;re ready, we know you&#8217;ll get involved and we know that we can help make a difference.</p>
<p>This is not a network marketing plan either. This is the primary Healthy Wealthy Boomer theme: <em><strong>How to make the 2nd 50 years Better than the 1st.</strong></em></p>
<p>Getting in shape and FEELING GREAT does not have to be a trauma event. It should be fun &#8211; like baking cookies with our grand children. It doesn&#8217;t require making a huge change in your life to get started. Making incremental changes is easy as it should be. When things are <strong>both</strong> complex <strong>and</strong> not fun, human nature is such that we won&#8217;t do them &#8211; or at least we won&#8217;t stick with the program long enough to make a difference.</p>
<p>Who am I to buck human nature?</p>
<h2>Where the 1 Percenters Can Start&#8230;</h2>
<p>Start with simple things you can do right away that don&#8217;t require effort and do not cost money.</p>
<p>For example, if your morning ritual is meeting your friend for coffee at your favorite espresso shop,  maybe you can start by walking to meet your friend for coffee every morning. Maybe you can cut your latte down from a grande to a tall. Start eating carrot and celery sticks 3 times a week (as a snack in the afternoon) and cut back the number of times you eat fried food.</p>
<p>Start cooking at home more and learn how to make delicious, simple and healthy meals. If you don&#8217;t cook, take a cooking class or get together with friends and start cooking healthy recipes together.</p>
<p>Buy a blender and start making awesome healthy ice blended drinks or fruit smoothies. It&#8217;s a great time for smoothies since it&#8217;s summer time.</p>
<p>This is not about Jenny Craig or The  Biggest Loser. It&#8217;s about making a choice to enjoy your life better, to be happier and to <em><strong>LIVE LONGER</strong></em>.</p>
<p>Jamie Oliver has started something awesome that he calls the Food Revolution. He&#8217;s traveling around the US trying to get people focused on children&#8217;s  nutrition in schools and bring enough attention to it to get something done about the horrendous nutrition quality in school food programs for kids. It all starts at home and even if your kids are grown, you can get involved with your grandchildren&#8217;s food.</p>
<p>Awareness is a good place to start.</p>

<p>Many Baby Boomers realize that it&#8217;s time to do something different. The online estimates are huge &#8211; somewhere in the nature of ~23 million Baby Boomers are obese depending on the stats you read.</p>

<p><span>Obesity traditionally has been defined as a weight at least 20% above the weight corresponding to the lowest death rate for individuals of a specific height, gender, and age (ideal weight).</span></p>
<p><span>More recent guidelines for obesity use a measurment called BMI (body mass index) which is the individual&#8217;s weight multiplied by 703 and then divided by twice the height in inches. BMI of 25.9–29 is considered overweight; BMI over 30 is considered obese.</span></p></blockquote>
<p>Harv Eker, founder of Peak Potentials &#8211; says,</p>
<p>&#8220;Clarity is Power.&#8221;</p>
<p>And I agree with him. Clarity can be power. Part of achieving clarity is knowing what it is you are going to do and why you are going to do it.</p>
<p>To some degree, clarity comes from the commitment to follow through on what you are talking about doing. To restate that what I am saying is:</p>
<blockquote>
<h2>Action is required for clarity to be power.</h2>
</blockquote>
<p>Otherwise it is just talk.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s funny, really, how we do things over and over that don&#8217;t work. We choose physical patterns that are are rooted in dysfunctional emotional stuff without being aware that we do it. It has become &#8211; for whatever reason &#8211; the default. When something becomes a default in human consciousness, it is no longer a conscious choice.</p>
<p><em><strong>It is an unconscious choice.</strong></em></p>
<p>At some point, we accept that default and get used to living with it. Sometimes clarity comes through waking up or <em><strong>snapping out of it</strong></em> &#8211; out of a walking dream state of semi-conscious behavior &#8211; a type of comatose that we have grown to accept as normal. To my way of thinking, anything but vibrant health is not a natural default, although it may be normal.</p>
<p>The greatest obstacles to overcome regarding health are belief systems.</p>
<p>What makes me an authority on this? This is an aspect of what we teach in Core Health workshops. Over and over again we see that this is true. We show people a way out of the rut and how to make new energy choices and it works.</p>
<p>The media and mainstream medical systems love to reinforce our dependency on the need to confer with them about everything related to our health.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Being healthy&#8217;s up to each of us. It&#8217;s part of our autonomy &#8211; part of our authenticity. We don&#8217;t need anybody&#8217;s permission to be healthy. Create your own clarity and clarify your power. It is such a great sense of release and a sense of <em><strong>in</strong></em>-powerment to take control of your health.</p>
<p>Choose your own perspective on health &#8211; choose a new version that suits you better and start challenging what <em><strong>the powers that be</strong></em> say to you over and over again.</p>
<p>Choose <strong><em>CHRONIC WELLNESS</em></strong> instead. Be a 1 percenter and jump in, if you&#8217;re ready for health.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><strong>Update on the Baby Boomer Six Pack Blog&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>A few weeks ago, I declared my intention to get into training mode physically and mentally targeting <strong>SIX PACK ABS</strong> by my birthday.</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>I hereby announce that I have to postpone this for two months &#8211; maybe three.</strong> </p>
<p>I am still working on re-establishing my daily routine and implementing the system I created in &#8220;<em>Look Better and Feel Better in 60 Days</em>&#8220;. However, I will hold off on the intense workout routine until I complete some &#8220;corrective training&#8221; to re-align and reduce the compensation effect related to the information that follows.</p>
<p>Note the operating word : Postpone &#8211; not BAIL&#8230;
</p></blockquote>
<p>Here&#8217;s why&#8230;</p>
<p>When I spoke to my mentor (Dr. Ed Carlson) about it at lunch in Gulfport, Fl the following week, he took a good look at my posture and suggested that before I go into training mode, I should go visit Randy Clark in Clearwater, Fl. Randy is partners with Paul St John (yes THE Paul St John &#8211; founder of the Paul St John Method of Neuro-muscular Therapy) at the <a href="http://www.stjohn-clarkptc.com/html/stJohn.htm" target=_blank> St John-Clark Pain Treatment Center</a>. </p>
<p>Dr Ed Carlson  (my mentor) and Paul St John are old friends and have worked together for many years. A few years ago, Paul St. John and Randy Clark became partners. </p>
<h3>Smart People Listen to Good Advice&#8230;</h3>
<p>I had heard Randy speak at the Core Health Facilitators Update several weeks preceding this conversation and found his work to be fascinating. Over the years &#8211; although stubborn and resistant at times &#8211; I have learned that smart people listen to good advice. In 11 1/2 months Dr. Ed Carlson has never once given me a bad piece of advice. So I went to meet Randy.</p>
<p><strong>Here is my take on how integrative neurosomatic therapy works&#8230;</strong></p>
<p>Basically what these guys do is manipulate the muscles to release contraction. And recently they have learned something new. It is actually easier to get the muscles to relax by massaging and manipulating the &#8220;organs&#8221; associated with different muscles groups and associated meridians. Apparently this is far more effective than working on the muscles directly and in a very short period of time, by manipulating the organs the muscles relax automatically.</p>
<p>As therapy progresses, and the muscles relax to a normal state, many skeletal alignment issues correct naturally as a function of releasing the tension in the muscles.</p>
<p>While it is far more complex than this, this description is basically the idea. There is a lot that Paul St John and Randy have learned about the relationship between the neural net and muscles &#8211; and how they &#8220;interact and fire&#8221;.</p>
<p>In a nutshell, contracted muscles that stay that way for an extended period of time actually create a &#8220;lock&#8221; and significant tension in the surrounding muscle groups, associated meridians, organs and connecting tissues. This muscle contraction often creates tilts in the skeletal systems and can create long term complications if not treated.</p>
<h3>My Personal Physical Situation Right Now&#8230;</h3>
<p>In my personal case, Randy Clark showed me that this muscle contraction (and compensation) has created a <strong>head tilt</strong> to the right as well as a <strong>pelvic tilt</strong> to the right and several issues related to the neck and shoulder. </p>
<p>Unresolved this could transform &#8211; over time &#8211; into a permanent physical pattern for me and this is unacceptable. </p>
<p>So&#8230;</p>
<p>In addition, my primary front abdominal muscle is <strong>&#8220;not firing&#8221;</strong>. Apparently when the surgeon cut through that muscle for a hernia operation in 1977, the neural connection to that muscle shut down. What that means is that when the brain sends the signal to &#8220;fire&#8221; that muscle, the message never gets there through the neural net. From their clinical experience and observation over a long period of time, this is quite a common problem after surgery &#8211; for many types of abdominal surgery for both men and women. </p>
<p>The rub is that most physicians are not aware that this is the case and 9 times out of 10 they recommend physical therapy as the post operative treatment. What this means (if these guys are right and I think they are) is that the recommended post operative therapy (which is exactly what the doctor ordered) is often exactly what is not needed for the client. What they need instead is to relax the muscles, where the physical therapy actually induces muscle contraction. </p>
<h3>Anyway back to my situation&#8230;</h3>
<p>No wonder doing 2500 ab crunches a day (I worked up to that because as my friend Holly says, &#8221; I tend to be an overachiever&#8221;) in a workout program several years ago did nothing to help my front abdominal core. The ab muscle itself was not firing. So all the surrounding muscles had to take up the slack and &#8220;compensate&#8221;.  Needless to say this can create numerous issues &#8211; like a chain reaction in the body. I have a high pain thresh hold, so over time my body adjusted to the contraction and the compensation and &#8211; in time &#8211; this became <strong>normal</strong>.</p>
<blockquote><p>Dr. Ed Carlson often points out that:</p>
<p><strong>&#8220;There is a difference between normal and natural. Natural being the most healthy and normal being what MOST of us do, most of the time.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>My personal challenge to everybody who wants to change their life (and particularly Boomers) from normal to natural:</p>
<p>&#8220;I intend to set the bar high as a <strong>healthy boomer</strong> challenging all Baby Boomers to move from being NORMAL to NATURAL and I invite all of you (whether you are a Boomer or not)&#8221; &#8211; to participate.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>In 2003, I broke my left wrist in 7 places . In 2005 and 2006 there were additional injuries. The first was when I did a one point landing &#8211; full body weight &#8211; on the side of my neck and right clavicle. From 2005 until 2010, the clavicle was partially separated the whole time (until an amazing man, Grand Master David Harris reset it). I also sustained a knee injury, landing on a piece of steel full body weight in 2006. </p>
<p>I mention these experiences because they exacerbated the issues that had existed within my body without my knowledge for many years. </p>
<p><strong>So here&#8217;s the deal&#8230;<br />
</strong></p>
<p>When I get:	</p>
<blockquote><li> all the &#8220;coiled and contracted&#8221; muscles in my body relaxed and normalized and then <strong>naturalized</strong>	</li>
<li> and when we correct the mis-alignments</li>
<li>get the ab firing again and </li>
<li>build muscle in the right places &#8211; correctively &#8211; to hold everything in alignment, the way it should be</li>
</blockquote>
<p>Then I will actively take up the abs challenge again. Maybe the new target will be September instead of July, not sure yet. I am really glad that I found these things out because building significant muscle mass and more tension would have potentially compounded the problems and created serious negative long term side effects.</p>

<h3>Future Baby Boomer Six Pack Updates</h3>
<p>From April 28-May 2, I attended the annual Silent Re~Treat that Dr Ed Carlson has been facilitating for over 25 years. During that 4 1/2 days of Unceasing Meditation, I learned a good deal about what else has been going on in my neck &#8211; not just the &#8220;what&#8221;, also the &#8220;why&#8221; and what to do about it.</p>
<p>This is part of the solution to my situation and the physical expression of who I AM.</p>

<p>Pardon the expression &#8211; but simply stated &#8211; that is a load of crap. The natural default is absolute and abundant health and prosperity. That&#8217;s how the universe was created. </p>
<p>As Baby Boomers, we can begin to change our lives today and within a few years can have abundant health and a joy in our physical awareness and experience every day.</p>
<p>There are no limits to your capability and you do not have to accept the media mantra as your default or paradigm.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><strong>Health is a composite of everything that we are.</strong></p>
<p>Let me rephrase that. Let&#8217;s use the analogy of making bread to describe health.</p>
<p>Everything we think and say and do goes into a big spiritual mixer and gets mixed up like bread dough. Whatever is in that dough determines what the bread is like when we bake it. It can have too much yeast, it can fall during the proofing process. It can be fluffy and light and marvelous coming out of the oven. Or it can be dense and have pockets of air when we slice through the loaf.</p>
<p>It all depends on what we throw into the mixer.</p>
<p>Health is much more than our physical condition. It is also a reflection of everything thing that we are at any given moment &#8211; including our physical condition &#8211; and it changes constantly.</p>
<p><strong>What we think about</strong> is critical because we now know from Quantum physics that when we focus our attention on something we actually affect what we focus on. We literally change the world around us<br />
and create the world that &#8216;we are thinking&#8217;. Eastern mysticism has been saying the same thing for centuries.</p>
<p>So it is important that we pay close attention to <strong>WHAT</strong> we think about and <strong>HOW</strong> we think.</p>
<p><strong>Our emotions play a big role</strong> in our health as well. Recently I read that our emotions are the primary tool God uses to communicate with us. For the vast majority of us earthlings, emotions are complicated. Generally, we associate deep feelings and emotions with <strong>FEELING PAIN</strong> &#8211; something we want to avoid.</p>
<p>This is rooted in our experiences as children. We are taught, in most cases, fairly early on that when we allow ourselves to feel deep emotions and <strong>when we feel</strong> that is where we get hurt. So as a culture, most of us run from emotions and have a tendency to shut them down or deny them because it is safer &#8211; <em>and definitely simpler</em>.</p>
<p>What I have learned over many years is that avoiding emotions is the worst way to handle them because unexpressed emotions are the ones that make us sick. They accumulate in the body and get &#8216;stuck&#8217; if they are not expressed. Year after year they accumulate and in time they become toxic and painful almost like an infection. While we may not be aware of it on a conscious level, these emotions are constantly nagging at us to let them out. Emotions want to be expressed. In time, this turns into physical pain and manifests itself as &#8216;illness&#8217; or <strong>DIS</strong>ease. Notice the word, it really means not-ease.</p>
<p>I heard a definition of emotion by a very tuned in lady in 1984. She said emotions are energy in motion and spelled it this way: E-motion.</p>
<p>Emotions are powerful tools and empower us to really feel and experience the greatest aspects of our lives fully and to feel LOVE to it&#8217;s intended depth and capacity. And if they really are the way God talks to us, it seems like we better figure out how to use and understand emotions effectively &#8211; just in case we miss something really important.</p>
<p>Aside from the spiritual aspect, which is actually an integral part of balanced health, we need to express our emotions or they will make us sick. And if we have a lot of them bottled up inside of us, it&#8217;s a good idea to get them out and clean out the &#8220;toxin&#8221; they have become.</p>
<p><strong>Energetic health</strong> is critical to everything and yet it is probably the most misunderstood aspect of health from the perspective of western scientists, researchers and allopathic medical practitioners (although this is starting to change to some degree).</p>
<p>The Chinese call life energy CHI (QI) and refer to the energy pathways in the body as meridians, or channel chi meridians. East Indians refer to the &#8220;chakras&#8221; and the energy body. While Western medicine is still waking up &#8211; and/or in denial entirely, I can tell you from personal experience that not only are the meridians real, balancing energy, storage and refinement of energy is the real key to good health and longevity.</p>
<p><strong>Spiritual balance</strong> is a big piece of the pie. And I am not talking about a particular religion or religious practice. I am talking about becoming spiritual, developing a spiritual awareness and aligning with that part of yourself deep within that knows the truth. It is getting good at remembering your connection to God.</p>
<p>In that context, whatever religious perspective you have, <strong>everyone should meditate</strong>. It is a key component for health and has a direct and profound influence on so many aspects of health that it could be the subject of an entire book or library.</p>
<p><strong>Health is also the reflection of our physical condition</strong>. What we eat, how much we eat, how we take care of our body in all capacities &#8211; including exercise, removing toxins, rejuvenation, replenishment, and relaxation &#8211; all makes a difference.</p>
<p><strong>Financial health</strong> is important in today&#8217;s world. Lack of money is the greatest destroyer of marriage today. It create stress, worry and a multitude of problems and most of us are raised with an inaccurate money consciousness. Most of us are taught a poverty consciousness. So part of real health in the 21st century includes recreating our (as Harv Eker calls it) <strong>MONEY BLUEPRINT</strong>.</p>
<p>To recap, according to my way of thinking and the way I describe it in my book, <strong>Healthy Wealthy Boomer: The Plan to Make the 2nd Fifty Years Better Than the 1st</strong>, true health is a balance of the:</p>
<ul>
<li>Physical</li>
<li>Mental</li>
<li>Emotional</li>
<li>Spiritual</li>
<li>Energetic</li>
<li>Financial</li>
</ul>
<p>aspects of our lives.</p>
<p>Physical health is the real starting point because if we don&#8217;t feel good when we get up in the morning, it&#8217;s a really poor way to start each day and to live our lives. The body is very tolerant and also very resilient. You can choose health or not, it&#8217;s up to you.</p>
<p>Abundance is the true default of the universe &#8211; abundant LOVE, prosperity, joy and health. It is our job to remember that we deserve and have the right to manifest everything we want in our life and that we are worthy.</p>
<p>We were designed to be healthy and the universe wants us to have abundant joyful lives in all aspects. Feeling good every day and vibrant health is our right.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><strong>First off, I work at it. </strong></p>
<p>I am a baby boomer. I care about people in my age group who are starting to show the signs of wear and tear and who aren&#8217;t doing anything about it. I want to help Boomers change this in a big way and I know how.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re wealthy and sick, are you really wealthy? If you had a terminal disease, what would you pay to get your health back? The fact is that millions of Boomers are headed there right now unless they start doing something about it.</p>
<p>For the greater part of my adult life, I have been very consistent about taking care of myself. I love to feel good and I have lots of energy. Ask people that know me well and they will verify my vast reserves of energy and untiring ability to keep going after most people burn out.</p>
<p><strong>I&#8217;m not a superstar, just a guy who has a system that works well for me.</strong></p>
<p>I am not a tri-athlete, a marathon runner or a weight lifter. But I have amazing endurance, useable strength and overall excellent physical tone. I can&#8217;t run 26 miles but I bet I could walk 100. I can&#8217;t lift 400 pounds, but I have a healthy back and that&#8217;s what hydraulics are for &#8211; not the human body. I&#8217;m almost 56 (and that picture was taken less than two weeks ago), but most people think I&#8217;m in my 40&#8242;s and that&#8217;s not just from the way I look, it&#8217;s also how I use my body. It&#8217;s physical expression as well as surface appearance.</p>
<p>In my book, Healthy Wealthy Boomer: The Plan to Make the 2nd Fifty Years Better Than the 1st, I go into detail. I also wrote a companion course to implement the plan and get it working in 60 days, called &#8220;How To Look Better and Feel Better in 60 days.&#8221;</p>
<p>I created checklists and instructions that I keep in a binder and check off the list as I follow the program everyday. I have found this to be effective for me because it creates a visual map of my consistency, diligence and where I need to improve my efforts. At a single glance, on one sheet I can see everything I have done (or not done) for 10 days.</p>
<p>Over the course of the last 35 years, I have read and studied all kind of programs and been a diligent student of natural health and how to create a healthy lifestyle with the objective of a primary goal:<br />
<strong>LONGEVITY</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Here &#8216;s a quick summary of what I do all the time.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>I walk.</li>
<li>I drink lots of water.</li>
<li>I eat really healthy food and know a lot about what fuel works best for my body.</li>
<li>I practice <strong>qigong</strong> regularly.</li>
<li>I do Tibetan rejuvenation exercises.</li>
<li>I do a 6-7 minute set on the Total Gym (although right now it is in storage in another state after a recent move and I have not retrieved it yet)</li>
<li>I stretch.</li>
<li>I love my body and let him know often how much I appreciate everything he does for me.</li>
<li>I love myself.</li>
<li>I focus on positive thoughts and language.</li>
<li>I think healthy thoughts.</li>
<li>I work at balancing my emotions and being present.</li>
<li>I <strong>MEDITATE </strong>everyday.</li>
<li>I recognize <strong>SOURCE ENERGY</strong> as the root of my strength and the source of my health and I express my gratitude every day</li>
</ul>
<p>I do lots of other things regularly &#8211; but not every day. I choose health and always take responsibility for three things:</p>
<ul>
<li>What I put in my mouth everyday</li>
<li>What I think about and the words I use</li>
<li>How I use my time</li>
</ul>
<p>I have developed a system that really gets long range results. It is designed to work for anybody &#8211; just regular people who want to improve themselves. You simply start wherever you are and get started doing whatever you can handle to begin with. You add more to the regimen as you develop skills, expertise and the ability to handle more.</p>
<p>Nothing extravagant, exotic or difficult to learn.</p>
<p>The key is to get started and keep doing what you can everyday. I can show you how.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m no super star professional athlete, just a guy who has figured out how to keep thinking right and really loves to feel good. Most of it is common sense, but it helps to have a coach to bring out the best and learn how to improve &#8211; at least until you have the system down yourself.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m going to start introducing live workshops, online training and various programs in the near future. I am also now focused on <strong>publishing my book</strong> with three more coming after that.</p>
<p><strong>For now, if you&#8217;re feeling lousy. Do something about it.</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Start walking everyday and increase the distance as your legs get stronger and your breathing improves.</li>
<li>Drink a gallon of water a day forever. Start with a few glasses of water and work up. I fill a half gallon container up 2 times a day and drink it all day long. You can drink a glass every hour. Whatever works for you. Just do it. Hydration is so important.</li>
<li>Start eating smaller portions of the food you are eating right now. And eat more frequently. Cut way back on fried foods &#8211; period. Eat more raw food and organic is way better.</li>
<li>Elminate toxic thinking and emotions.</li>
</ul>
<p>None of that costs anything or is a big transition. Anybody can do what I just wrote.</p>
<ul>
<li>Choose to start loving yourself.</li>
<li>Decide.</li>
<li>Take responsibility.</li>
<li>Do it.</li>
</ul>
<p>You are perfect, whole and complete and you are loved Divinely just the way you are. There is nothing you need to change or be, just to to remember that you are perfect and really believe it.</p>
<p>With some practice on your part, the rest will take care of itself. Before you know it, you&#8217;ll be a healthy wealthy boomer too.</p>
